Flamingle Art Contest
Calling all young artists! We are hosting our second annual art contest for local kids to submit a piece of artwork that celebrates all things FUN in Sandwich. Finalists will have their work auctioned off at our Flamingle, with all proceeds supporting our mission to bring more fun to kids in our community.
Artists ages 5-18, this is your chance to showcase your creativity and make a difference—submit a piece you’d be proud to give away, and help us raise funds for Sandwich!
The Prompt
Imagine you’re showing someone the town of Sandwich for the very first time. What would you want to show them? What makes your hometown special? How do you have fun there? Use colors, shapes, and details to tell a story of Sandwich and the fun things that make it unique to you!
Acceptable Art Forms
Let your creativity fly! A drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, or mixed media- it just has to fit on no larger than a 5x7 canvas.
You may send a draft of your vision on paper and note the medium you would use in the final piece.
Submissions
We are eager to see your work! We are accepting submissions until May 9th to select our finalists and give enough time to create their final piece!

Judging Criteria
Creativity & Originality
Connection to the Theme (how well it expresses the hometown and fun)
Artistic Technique & Skill (though this will be age-appropriate)
Finalists
Finalists will be chosen for three categories:
Category 1: Ages 5-8 (Elementary school), Category 2: Ages 9-12 (Preteens), Category 3: Ages 13-18 (Teens).
Chosen finalists will receive a canvas from The Sandwich Fundation to do a final submission of their work to be submitted as auctions item for our Flamingle!
Awards
We want to celebrate all the kids who submit their artwork!
We will have a voucher for a local treat in Sandwich as well as a highlight of all the beautiful art on our social media!
